GOOD days and BAD days

Do  you ever wake up and think "today is going to be a GOOD day?"
BUT when you get to work, your mantra changes to, "today is  a BAD day?"

This is what I am faced with on a daily basis.

Even when the day is going awesome and you are in a good mood, it is your job or your job environment that is detrimental to your attitude and completely turns your simile upside down.

You know what I find funny, everyone is guilty of saying things that hurt other people's feelings even though there was no intention to harm. But, when this happens in a work environment, it's like high school drama that people, especially women thrive on. This gives people an excuse to become guilty themselves of talking bad about someone.

What I find interesting is that as adults, we are aware about how harmful bullying can be for kids in school, well it can have the same exact detrimental effect on adults. People can be downright mean.  rude and the best part is that others join in on the bullying just because they feel like it is the cool thing to do - well let me tell you something, it is not the cool thing to do!

Hypothetically, if you were in a situation like this what would you do? Would you fall prey to the pressure of being cool and join in on the bullying and shit talking? Would you make judgement on a person without knowing the whole story?

BUT what if there a second side to the story? Would this change your actions? Would you stand up for the person and not join in on the hurtful banter?

What if you knew that the person who made the unintended hurtful comment had apologized and was remorseful to the person with whom it harmed? And the person with whom it harmed, forgave and accepted the apology? Would you still continue to talk crap? Does this now make you just as guilty and even more guilty for taking pleasure in making fun of and talking bad about  the original person who didn't mean to hurt anyone in the first place? If you do this, and continue to bully someone, this makes you a very sad person. Sad because you thrive on hurting others and it makes you feel good.

Life is to short to judge, and make other peoples lives hell. Grow up and be mature. It's none of your damn business. If you perpetuate this kind of behavior, you are the one that is guilty of being a bad person.

Why do people talk bad about other people? Does it make them feel good? As adults, we should know better. Learn to walk away when others are talking bad about someone or learn how to stick up for someone by preventing this type of banter.

Sorry for the ranting and raving but there is too much evil going on in my workplace and something needs to be said.
